Life Stretch Series Part 2: Shoulders and Neck

Fascial network can trap your emotions and can be the reason you have pain in your neck, hips or even your back?

What if I were to tell you that your fascial network can trap your emotions and can be the reason you have pain in your neck, hips or even your back? Stress materializes in your neck and has been shown to exist throughout your fascial network. It becomes tight, painful and because it is a network that encompasses your entire body, it will radiate pain throughout. As we go down this stretching journey together, you may also start to feel an emotional release as we relax your fascia and get it moving again. An emotional release can be what your body really needs and stretching will push the stress out of your body and this is what we are aiming for!

For today, I have a few props to help if I need them. A couple of pillows and a large rolled towel. It is always good to have these handy if you need them.

Follow along with the video:

Let’s start with our breath and lets check in to see if there is any tightness or restrictions in our movement.

1. Breathing
2. Neck Assessment, Shoulder Assessment, Leg Assessment
3. Shoulder Life Stretch Movement
4. Leg Glute, Hamstring, Adductors (with towel prop and pillows)
5. Floor Hip Stretch (cross one leg over other, lift gently)
6. C-Stretch
7. Exit- Full Assessment of Hips,Shoulders, Neck

Daily stretching is the key to a life with less pain and it gives you the ability to move with such ease. It is something so simple and relaxing, but can be such a lifechanger. I look forward to continuing to guide you on your path to freedom in your movement. Thank-you for joining us at Body and Soul online and continue accessing our community for amazing online content.
